thank you for the detailed explanation, m... no amount of money would be adequate to compensate the victims' families for their loss, however if the purpose of a lawsuit is also is to assign responsibility to irresponsible people in the hope that it will act as a deterrence then one would almost like to see a suit happen just to serve as a precedent to others. and it also sounds like there may be is some culpability on the part of the city of santa monica according to what SS posted (for not having barriers)
