In any investigation this big and exhaustive, mistakes were made, that doesn't mean the conclusions were wrong. Mistakes were made investigating O.J., that doesn't mean, that he never killed anyone. The Warren Commission wasn't named for Warren E. Burger, but Earl Warren - who already happened to be the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and Chairman of the Commission. Gerald Ford did not head the Commission, but was listed 5th on the Commission. In seniority, he was listed fifth - after Earl Warren, Richard Russell Jr.- Chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee and Thomas Hale Boggs - the House Majority Whip. re:"Gerald Ford headed the commission and he was hand picked to be president.
