Professional traders don't buy stocks below the 20 day moving average. (Too much weakness.)

They don't buy stocks with prices falling. They wait until the price prints to the upside of the previous day's range. (They won't try to catch bottoms. You may catch a bottom but that doesn't mean the stock is ready to move up, hence they wait for it to rise above the 20 ma.)

Most professional traders cut losses at 4%. They don't average down. If the stock shows an immediate 2-3% return, they will add to their position.
