Count,

I cannot believe the way you seem to be twisting Jon's words (and those of other posters)! Jon did NOT "excuse the crime of violence." There is BIG difference between not having sympathy for a serial victim, and excusing the criminal. As to a "veiled threat" - what threat? That is almost laughable.

As I said before, I have followed this thread from the beginning and find it interesting because of the law behind the case. But, every once in while, you twist the words of the posters in an attempt to convince others that anyone who doesn't totally agree with you is not only the enemy, but immoral, criminal, etc. In fact, when you do that, in the eyes of some - myself included - you lose credibility.

You would be much better off sticking to the facts and winning the case by law and not try to win the sympathy of the world! IMHO, of course....and, I know, you don't care what I think....you already told me that.

Bill

Ah, old money, power and privilege (squandered, in this case...) vs. the uncouth new rich.

You really ought to go for the novel. I think it would be more lucritive than the lawsuit.

But suit yourself. You're used to it, aren't you? Odd hobby, but I guess you can do whatever you want with your life. Must be nice. Guess polo is too boring.

Not being a part of either of those worlds, I do find it fascinating.

OK, give me that sob story about being disowned by your family again.

Oops, can't have it both ways, can you?

P.S. See someone about that paranoia. I didn't make a threat, veiled or otherwise. It was an analogy. Do you understand what an analogy is? Ask one of your learned relatives.

You went into "the bad part of town" (you know, the part where the financial snake-oil salesmen live...), partied on their drug (the daytrading one) and got beat-up badly. (But it's not clear that you even got beat-up, since you refuse to supply the full details of your "loss"). Now you want sympathy. You'll have none from me.

If anybody really did beat you or anybody else up (took your money unfairly) they should be prosecuted criminally, and are liable to those they have wronged civilly. Just don't expect crocodile tears. It's hard to believe you didn't know the risks.

The only person who has made threats on this thread, veiled or otherwise, is you.

You need to step back and try to gain some objectivity....and a better understanding of the written word.

Liar.

"The next post I make here will either be, (1), to inform you about what took place at the Court of Appeal, or, (2), informing this community that a class action lawsuit has been filed."

Consider this a warning. And a stern one.

While I found nothing I could possibly even twist into being viewed as a threat in Jon's post, yours is nearly nothing but threat.

When you're posting here, keep in mind that though the previous administration terminated your account, the administration before that (me) suspended it a few times, including a 30-day one that expired not too long before I was laid off. Consider yourself on the same path unless you make some changes. The next step after a 30-day suspension is account termination.
