China and the US are rivals, and the more that China can discomfit the US, the better as far as it's concerned. But if the collapse of N Korea outweighs Kim Il Soong with nukes as a worry, it cannot be by much. China has problems with disaffected groups - it even has Islamic rebellions in its western provinces. You think it would be comfortable with N Korea auctioning nukes to the highest bidder?
