256 rdram should be more than enough to run almost anything you want. You might be able to see a difference if you were running cad programs or video editing. Law of diminishing returns should keep you from noticing much difference. At least you now know lack of ram isn't a problem. <gg>

You will reach ram maximum efficiency, and anything more will be wasted. I once added additional ram to 256 on a notebook and didn't notice any performance improvement. When I called IBM tech support they advised the additional ram was not going to have any effect.
