So how do you feel about Saddam killing perhaps a million Muslims? How do you feel about his gassing his own people? Gassing the Iranians? How do you feel about his family plundering the riches of his people for palaces, military "prowess" and Swiss Bank accounts? How do you feel about the torture, maiming and rape of the Iraqi people by the Ba'athists?

Why don't you ask Donald Rumsfeld? He was the American who was caught red handed shaking the Butcher of Baghdad's (Saddam's) hand back in 1984. The elite in Britain and the U.S. embraced Saddam and his brutal regime for years while he was doing all sorts of nasty things like gassing the Kurds and Iranians and torturing and killing his own people. The U.S. and British elites don't like to criticize dictators whom they have multi-Billion dollar weapons and oil contracts with. It's only when the dictator falls out of their graces by doing something unexpected like invading another resource-rich country like Kuwaitt, that they turn their media goons against them in a propaganda campaign and make a move to replace them. Look at the history of the U.S./British relationship with Iraq, it's not pretty. All those concerns you raised were ignored for years while we traded with Saddam.
