<How about spending some of that Alaska oil party money on it? Buy a smaller fridge and spend the rest on a cop.>

If we were Democrats, that's what we'd do. But this is the most Republican State in the Union, except for Utah.

We believe in Small Government (except for all the Washington pork our congresspeople send). All dollars are better spent by individual citizens, than by government.

So, instead of paving or plowing our roads, we all have huge SUVs.

Instead of having police in every town, we all own guns.

My complaint is that the Big Government BorrowAndSpend Republicans (not an improvement over the Big Government TaxAndSpend Democrats) are showering their pork on the wrong people. I mean, if we are going to have massive make-work publicly-funded jobs programs (that's exactly what is being proposed in Iraq), shouldn't it be for Americans rather than Iraqis (who will still hate us, since you can't buy love)?
