excellent article in the morning paper by Tom Freidman, ME expert and author of ME events in recent history.

he says the real danger today is that Bush and his Admin. are being sidetracked and taking "eye off the ball" by over reacting to all the BS about Uranium from Africa, etc.....

the real prize here is to show the rest of the Arab world, by example, that Iraq can be a free, democratic society, functioning on its own and providing to its populace the things freedom insures, jobs, education, freedom of choice, etc.....

Human rights groups have stated that since 1993 some 300,000 Iraqis are reported missing, that 90 mass grave sites have been discovered with at least 6 recently unearthed to reveal thousands of Women and Children executed with a bullet to the head.

it goes on and on..

Saddam and his sons set a new standard for butchery and despotic, barbaric rule.

What rubbish. You think that a supposed phone call from a corner of Iraq that was not under Saddam's control, deep in the "no-fly" zone, is proof of a link between Saddam and al Qaida? By that definition, the US is an ally of Saddam -- after all, Saddam is operating out of Iraq as we speak.
