I noticed he had Daniel Ellsberg as a guest yesterday...

<<...Thursday July 17 on the The Thom Hartmann Program…

12 noon: Join Thom with guest Daniel Ellsberg who has been labeled a patriot by some and a traitor by others. He winces at both descriptions. Both, he says, are subjective and loaded. But what is beyond doubt is that Ellsberg played a crucial role in American history. By 1969, Ellsberg had served in the U.S. Marine Corps and the Department of Defense. Few others shared the perspective from which Ellsberg had watched the war in Vietnam escalate. He was an insider who knew the truth - that the government had known almost from the beginning that the war was a lost cause. Having appealed to his superiors and to Congressmen to stop the war, he had exhausted every option except one - to go public. Ellsberg distributed a 7,000-page study conducted by the Pentagon on the Vietnam War, later known as the “Pentagon Papers,” to two newspapers, The New York Times and The Washington Post. A legal battle before the U.S. Supreme Court resulted, pitting Ellsberg and the press against the White House. Ellsberg eventually won, but not before he learned valuable lessons about truth and government in America. We’ll find out Ellsberg thoughts on the “what’s up” now with the current administration...>>

____________

IMO, Ellsberg has tremendous credibility -- after all he helped insure that the American public learned the truth about the VietNam war...He should know a cover-up when he sees one...Is there any way to get a transcript of his talk with Thom Hartman ?

thanks,
