I am thinking of that......the toppling of Iraq has not changed the cost of the war on terrorism.

I don't know how you could have made that determination. To the extent toppling Iraq results, over the coming 10 or 20 years, in a reduction of Mideastern anti-Americanism which then results in one fewer 9/11-like attack, the savings are great.


How did I make that determination? It was easy.....at best the war on terrorism is at the same level it was before we toppled Saddam; at worse, we have made it worse.

I can't say that the terrorist position has been strengthened because I don't have the facts to support that statement but I suspect that it is true.

Not to mention the benefits that eventually will derive with respect to the Palestinian situation.

That has yet to be seen.
