Hitler couldn't have beat us, in the long run, either, but he could kill a lot of us trying.

We are highly respectful of sovereignty, which is why we largely do business with whomever is in power, rather than try to overthrow them. States like Iraq are special cases.

We support far more treaties than we allegedly violate, but some of them are bogus or need to be reconsidered.

We are prepared to negotiate with North Korea, in a multilateral framework. Iraq was a special case.

Are you mental? There is nothing strange about holding that the WMDs existed, but are either hidden or destroyed at this time. We know that Saddam exists, but have not found him yet, either.........

<<And, by refusing to negotiate with N. Korea, because negotiation equals appeasement, they are ensuring peaceful and incremental change there, too. Sure.>>

Appeasement is more like extortion in that case.
