Mfume said the no-shows have no right to go seeking African-American votes in the community, so great was the disrespect they showed. Mfume needs to be removed from his high horse. He needs his ass kicked not kissed. But so far the Demo leadership would rather crawl back and pay him homage. Not a pretty site. Kerry and Lieberman drew hisses from the audience when they said they do not support gay marriage; Is hissing in public legal? Can gay boys hiss at just anyone or just senior demo leaders? in a year when angry partisans are hungry for red-meat rhetoric from the Democratic candidates Pretty hot words from the pacifistic leftie LA Times. Guess they are trying to show they have a manly side for the union men. what Bush said was technically accurate. But it was not accurate, even technically. The words in question were: 'The British government has learned that Saddam Hussein recently sought significant quantities of uranium from Africa.' Bush didn't say it was true, you see -- he just said the Brits said it. This is a contemptible argument. . . . The demos are shooting each other down in flames. Americans will accept a bit of obfuscation, if someone accepts responsibility for it. The CIA did that. Hell, Clinton proved that flat out lying is acceptable. This ain't politics...the demos sound more like a bunch of kids arguing over the shovel and pail in a sandbox. uw
