The thing is that even when challenged, they persist, at least until the issue loses steam or the politicians & liberal media realize their BS has been sufficiently discredited. But this matters not to them. They just move on to the next attack, or like "imminent threat", conjure a new one out of thin air & attack. I think LindyBill is right about many democrats being demoralized and angry. They are so caught up in their emotions that their actions these last few years are more visceral than well reasoned. They want to get even & to bring republicans down in the worst way, yet they can't see the damage they are doing to themselves in the process. JMHO
