That would've been the latter part of '98.

Certainly the analysts-with-an-agenda were partially to blame, but so were other factors like proliferation of the Internet in the workplace and in the home, the day-traders, the novice investor, the people with money burning holes in their pockets from the booming economy, or from refi's using their inflated home equity, CNBC, CNNfn, etc., a million know-it-all talking heads, stock chat boards, penny stocks, and so on and so forth. There is plenty of blame to go around... oh, did I forget to mention greed? There was plenty of that going around, too.
