That has nothing to do with rights. You have a reason. So your international law would be that as long as the US has a reason, it can do what it wants. Since other countries may also feel that way about things, I don't think that adds to the greater stability of the region. There is no proof Saddam was working on a dirty bomb. He might have liked one (maybe) but his own survival was so important to him, I doubt he really really wanted one. I see that he had other priorities. So we see different things. The judgment of history will take years- we're both just guessing which was the better course.
