Let's see, Microsoft misses estimates by a penny, Intel beats by a penny, yet they each get counted as "one company". This last year versus this year count is as misleading as any statistic could be. I cannot think of anything worse.

This whole "beats estimates" is a shill scam IMO. With all the instant data compilation available even compared to ten years ago, why should ANY company not come in right on the exact forecast? It is a quarterly non-issue. Why not issue weekly sales a-la the auto industry? Gasoline and Lundberg?

It is all an artifice in today's database world. Every night, Cisco compiles ALL its reporting data. Why not anyone else?
