actually, I'm not worried about the RIAA. They only represent the current crop of popular musicians. All the new artists are basically locked out of the system and they can very easily bypass the RIAA and distribute music over the web. The music industry is so corrupt it has destroyed a lot of potential artists and curtailed artistic freedom. They will just legislate themselves out of business imho. The Dixie Chicks were saying they were going to drop Sony and distribute over the net if Sony didn't allow them to release an acoustic album, finally sony relented. Because the entire Dixie Chicks group only made $1mm on their last platinum CD (they had to split the million 3 ways), there is no incentive to stay with a major label. Its the beginning of the end for these record industry fools!
