You would know more than I do about that. I'm just not sure there can be any causal relationship shown.

After TRA'86 (the most sweeping real estate tax reform in history), in which Reagan closed real estate loopholes it had taken the liberals 30 years to install, the real estate business changed. But I don't think any causal relationship was ever shown. The point being that it is difficult to "know" with certainty what is causing these changes.

You may well be right, I don't know. I just think it would be difficult to establish with any certainty.

The Afterburner kicked in late 2000- 2001 when AG started lowering rates in a panic. The stars really lined up then and money poured into Real Estate. The last year has really culminated in a steep rise.

Like most people, you see what you want to see. I told you why FLA's housing prices are starting to take off in certain of the state's markets and it has little to do with that law you like to cite. If it did, all markets in FLA would be skyrocketing but as far as I can tell markets like Tampa St. Pete still have lethargic housing appreciation as they have had for most of the 90s.
