Now you say North Korea is not a threat?

Only to our interests in the region, not directly to the United States or it's population.

After all, N. Korea has NEVER attacked the US mainland. And isn't that the argument you, and others of your ilk, have made in criticizing Bush's invasion of Iraq?

And their ability to attack us by conventional means is nil. And any nuclear attack would require they smuggle a warhead into our borders, since they don't possess a missile with long enough range.

No... N. Korea is not a "real threat".

But that said, I have no desire to see S. Korea invaded, nor either they or Japan intimidated.

And for that reason, any negotiations with Kim Jong Il's government must involve those nations.

Iraq, on the other hand, was a direct economic threat to the US (and the rest of the world), given it's proximity to, and potential for disrupting, Persian Gulf oil.

Do you think we should just go ahead and launch a pre-emptive nuclear strike against N. Korea so we no longer need worry about whether or not they adher to any treaty requirements derived from those "talks" you keep referring to?

Just nuke 'em and get it over with, right? That would eliminate that "#1 threat" you seem to be peeing your pants over.
