The whole issue really bugs me.

Many moons ago the record industry had to give stations many free albums to get their songs played so kids would buy the albums. Now it seems they figured it was cheaper to buy the stations...

I'm not sure who is to blame as I think both sides of the aisle take bribes in the form of soft money from the RIAA and other big groups that want to own large numbers of radio and TV stations as well as deregulate the energy industry. None of this was done for the goodness of people but as a way for some at the top to make more money. ALL politicians that say otherwise are damn liars.

This is a no politics thread so I propose we move further discussion to the new place.

An on topic comment, I've heard that Dell and HPQ would be guilty of aiding and abetting a felony if this sort of nonsense is allowed to continue. I smell the trial crooks association starting to salivate at the mouth....
