LB,
I have been saying much the same thing about Biden. I actually like him and his views carry weight with me. There are a whole bunch of non candidate senators on both sides whose moderate stances make them(in the dems case) viable alternatives to bush, especially if both war and economy turn south. Given the sentiment on this thread the war has already done so. For the first time, some opponents of admin policy are making some sense. The admin was not ready for these guerilla strikes. And because of them we may have to alter how we approach iraq rebuilding. We can withstand the casualties but not the growth of a native non-baath, non-fedayeen opposition. Bush team has been fast on its feet before. True test coming now. Mike
