Well, I thought we were talking about Neocon's post.......when did his become your position? I am assuming they must be identical.

Are positions on this issue are very close. I have no substantial differences with him on this issue. I momentarily forgot about Neocon's post. In any case I am not arguing for Bush's statements, whether or not Neocon did, I am arguing that the war was not an unjust thing.

As for you, I am glad you have consolidated your views on the war. Prior to the war, you were very vague in terms of a position and unsure whether you thought the war was a good thing.

I tend to respond to what's posted rather then prepare an essay covering all of my thoughts on an issue. I was never ecstatic about the idea of going to war, and I'm still not, but before the war (I think on another thread so I can't blame you for not having seen it) I did state that in the end I support the war because as messy as the aftermath will be (and the messiness so far has not exceeded my pre-war expectations), that the world, and Iraq, and in the long run the US, will be better off without Saddam then with Saddam even if a war is needed to get rid of him. Or more specifically and a more exact quote. "The death and suffering caused by the war will be less then the death and suffering caused by Saddam + sanctions."

Re: NRA meetings -

Once again, you stretch my belief system. I have to believe Iraq is a topic of conversation if for no other reason then the vast array of guns used over there.

Well if I ever attend one I'll have to fill you in on how much they discuss Iraq or foreign policy in general...
