What gave me the coldest certainty was the strange way the CIA behaved with the death of the first Afghanistan agent, Spahn. It is absolutely against the rules to disclose anything about agents, their families, where they live, etc. It is even more insane to disclose any such information about any agent or "operative" who is battling against an enemy proclaimed to be terrorist, who retaliate with kidnapings, torture, etc. It is even more nuts if such an enemy is proclaimed to be operating here in these United States. And yet the CIA proferred two official news releases on Mr. spahn, putting his wife, child and father supposedly at risk of immediate or eventual retaliation by supposed terrorist cells in the US. The "mistake" explanation went away with the official news releases, especially the second one. No one has apologized for these releases. These were released during the Congressional debates on Homeland Security to raise public support no doubt. The only conclusion is that insiders in gov't know for certain who/what/where terrorist cells are in the US, so much so that they are not the least bit concerned about retaliation against Spahn's family. It may be that the entire set of such cells' threats are cooked up, or that whatever does exist is under complete control. The good news: there's not as much Muslim terrorism as we thought ! Hooray ! The bad news: it also means the terrorism we see is under control and possibly an invention of others who have policial and financial agendas that require lying and threatening American people.
