Well here is scan of 4 letter high beta.stocks
all wrapped up into a portfolio, and back dated
to 7-9-03
siliconinvestor.com
---
The QQQ is in the middle somewhere..and "it's the key" to
the relativity...they are either dropping faster or going up faster,
than he QQQ (most of the time) but not much during indecision
or just before a turn..
Relativity in speed is what High Beta is about..
it makes for a fair signal "as a group.".
They are all above 3 beta..
Short term that portfolio is not what I look at,
Well I do..but not on SI..I have it running in real time
and watch the total sum up/or/down % ; against the qqq up/or/down %,,
---
I use to do much the same with what I called a DOLLAR VOLUME
index..of stocks that traded the most dollars..
however they never gave a signal as clear as the Hi Beta..
SI Don't do it justice..you need to see in running it real time with the interday
sums spitting out..crap it will call most interday turns in a flash
