When will the Republicans quit worrying about Clinton indeed? I guess they have so much respect for the two term president that they want Bush to emulate him.

Clinton said that Saddam had WMD, based on intelligence, and he bombed the suspected locations of the WMD. The intelligence might have been incorrect then too.

The difference, is that this time it appears that Bush knew that the intelligence was wrong, but used it anyway in speeches to justify a war against Saddam. The fact that Saddam was a despot might not have been enough to sell the American people into sending their sons and daughters to war, but add the imminent national security fears such as WMD, Terrorist links and nukes, and war is a much easier sell. You don't even need to mention the oil factor.
