The uranium "claim" is most likely true. The anti-American propagandists will fight tooth and nail against any objective investigation. They have too much riding on their last desperate gamble...

It is becoming obvious that the reasons given for the war justification have not been proven. It is also obvious that the Bush administration seemed to jump on a bin Laden/Saddam 'phantom' connection as a means of removing Saddam, and clearing the Bush family name.

However, it's kind of odd that, in politics, it is the tree that gets the focus, and not the forest. Right now, the focus is on the uranium issue, which is but a small piece of the overall scandal. Given a wider lens, it seems obvious that the Bush administration desired this war, and produced whatever evidence it needed for justification. The American public only seems to be able to focus on single issues (or is it the press?), so the uranium fudge may become the crack in the Bush administration's 9/11-forged wall of arrogance.

The aluminum tubes were made for a thermo-nuclear device. They were junk-probably French made. What would you expect?

NO ONE ever claimed the late Saddam Hussein was smart. You'd have to stand him next to ALGORE to make him look even reasonably intelligent...
