The government has just completed work on a missile that turned out to be a bit of a boondoggle; nicknamed "Civil Servant", it won't work and they can't fire it.

Ahhh yes, Pink Mountain. It has that negative aura that induces confusion. Bad Karma.

Throwing the keys out the window. I would never have thought of that. We used to hide them in a tree, tying them with ribbon when we went in the bush. Left rear leaf spring sometimes too. Sometimes that was a problem.

Judgement, or the art of being right is a hard thing to teach. It is easier to induce, wilful, arbitrary, destructive, shortsighted action that leads to premature failure and grief. Picking the opposite is hard, as it is the very thing that tells us do it, that is hard to avoid.. If we try to simulate it we cheat. Hypothetical consequences are tough work throughs for most.

I have had fantastic luck. The best of luck and the worst. I am lucky to be alive, and unlucky to be not a millionaire. I missed both many times by scant millimetres.
