To me, the added insult is not just that they trumped up the facts to go to war, but trumped them up to RUSH to war. If we had been more diplomatic, and got more countries on our side, then we wouldn't have only ours and the Brits asses swinging in the wind. It makes you wonder what the big hurry was. Its clear now there wasn't much convincing evidence that WMD were a big problem. Seems to me it was a democratic version of what's good for Bush is good for all Americans. I don't even think it was all about the oil. I think, in Bush 43's mind, it was about cleaning up Daddy 41's lingering mess. Could well be but don't underestimate the oil.....its in the background, very loud and clear.
