As for "groups seeking a revival" - Can you be more specific? With references?

If it exists, the Priory of Sion is one such group. When I read Holy Blood, Holy Grail and similar material I was convinced of their existence. I have since come to question that. Some people say that the Priory was formed during World War II as a way to defend against Vichy. Others say it is an elaborate aristocratic prank.

We should also remember that some lodges operate independently and have their own agendas.

What did you make of the author of the The DaVinci Code's assertion that Walt Disney was a goddess revivalist? Not sure how seriously to take that, but his claim that DaVinci's Last Supper included Mary Magdalene intrigued me enough to take a closer look. The figure depicted could indeed be a woman. If nothing else, the book was an interesting foray into art history.

Needless to say, some persons who seem to feel they are protecting you by making fools of themselves do not fit that description.

I don't think anyone feels the need to protect me, but it's a nice thought. :)
