What I'm saying is, we gave Saddam some of the weapons to kill those folks, and patted him on the back while he was doing it, and we KNEW he was doing it.

When your country chooses to back a genocidal guy like that, it strikes me as very hypocritical to then use those genocidal deaths later (much much later) as an excuse to invade the country. Obviously it makes complete sense to you. I have said on other threads that the US should have tried to get Saddam for war crimes- but it probably would have been embarrassing to us, since we supported him at the time of those crimes. Know what I mean?
