In notice that you did not suggest that it could have been done by the "pro-war" side -- interesting. As for your post, the French could have done this, I agree. They have the capability and with some effort you could conjure up a motive. Or somebody else aiming to embarrass the "pro-war" side could have done it. It is also possible that somebody was looking very, very hard for a way to say they had "proof" that Saddam was trying to buy uranium. Nixon was brought down by a burglary and cover-up -- you wouldn't think that two Republican administrations would make the same mistake -- that would be stupid, not to mention treason. If somebody was trying to frame the Government of the United States, or if an American was committing treason, these are serious issues and I certainly hope that no effort will be spared to discover who exactly did this. Do you think we can count on Bush to get to the bottom of this?
