Hi Claude,

It's been a while since we've had his discussion, so I wanted to make it clear to anyone new that IMO Penntrade is far better than TDWaterhouse in all ways I can think of. I've used both, but only Penntrade now.

Best,

vt

I use the Canadian desk at Ameritrade. $30 commission on any size limit or market order, you have to call them.

Hi Claude,

TD Waterhouse is fine for US stocks - I still use them for the AMEX golds, but I would NEVER recommend them for Canadian stocks - ever.

Penntrade is the best I have seen for Americans to buy Canadian stocks. They have the best execution in both timing and exchange rates and get this...they actually have customer service as a standard. I have been impressed by them to say the least.

Cheers!
Robert

You know my opinion CC. Penntrade is the best. Tried ED Jones, Schwab and Etrade. Penntrade beats them hands down.

Claude:

I use Fidelity and can buy online. Unfortunately, CA stocks are traded in American Dollars and I think I get some slippage on my trades.
