Wondering why you like ProFunds better than Rydex. BTY I own Rydex and am happy with them (real trades not pretend)

What time will you be posting your EOD signals?

Also, I've written a lot of systems and I find it difficult to use systems with signals that are generated at the close. Most often, their computations require the use of information that is only available after the close (e.g. the high, low or close of the day). I understand that it is possible to guess at the close before it actually happens, but this invariably results in extra signals and missed signals. Of course, the net effect of these extra signals is often negligible.

Still, it has been my experience that designing a system to trade on the open of the next bar translates more reliably to real-time trading than using the close of the current bar. It also eliminates both the need for discretion (guessing the close) and the requirement that you be at the screen 10 mins before every close. You can then simply check the signals at any time during the evening and place the orders to be executed at the open.

For example, one of my systems trades 47 futures markets using weekly bars. It's remarkably easy to trade as signals are generated on Friday for execution on Monday. I can check for new signals at my leisure on the weekend and have plenty of time to check for errors (or significant news) and plan my trading for the week.

P.S. Please do not interpret this discussion as disparaging in any way. I'm just sharing a piece of information I've learned through experience that I consider to be particularly valuable. If you choose, perhaps you or others can use it to improve the tradability of your systems.

P.P.S. The above is not relevant for intraday systems unless they place orders at the close of the last bar of the day.
