RE:I'm wondering what your take is on the way that Rep. Bill Thomas is treating the legislative process these days? Haven't really followed the story, but it looks pretty bad. That's why I actually like a balance of people in power, so no one party can force through legislation like it appears to have happened here. But, you know, what goes around comes around, it might back fire. My vote and many others can never be taken for granted. While I might even agree with the legislation, it should at least be discussed. They passed some legislation here in Louisiana recently which disallows anyone from suing retirement home owners if they get abused in the retirement home. I'm not a lawyer, but I'm hoping that it is unconstitutional. Some well known crooked politicians just happen to run retirement homes here!
