A long term bet on commodities in general and energy in particular looks like a smart play to me. Also, commodity currencies like the Canadian and Australian dollars, which have conveniently retreated lately, look good, IMO. I think the expectation of the "experts" that oil will again cycle down to $20 soon is wrong; this time it may turn out to be different after all.
