Dean is hardly "atop" the California poll. 16% to 15% for Kerry, and Kerry having to split most of the vote with four other more centrist candidates. First of all, there's a 4% margin of error. Secondly, Dean has the anti-war vote almost to himself. Kerry has to split the more moderate vote 5 ways, though the other four will eventually endorse Kerry so he will end up well ahead.
