Art, I doubt the SKY77316 PA would be an "additional component". It's in lieu of a different PA, perhaps one made by RFMD.

My implied point was ... there is an rf power amplifier in both EDGE and EV-DO handsets. Unless we know the cost of the rf PA in the EV-DO handset, we have know way of knowing if use of the SKY77316 PA ($8.50 each at 10K quantities) in a EDGE handset "gives EV-DO the EDGE" .. or not.
