Kerry has been 100% consistant in his stand on Iraq.
He took the stand because it was the right stand in his mind. Whether some of it is just politics, maybe so, but that's the same with any politician. Everything Bush does it politics. You cannot separate the two. However Kerry's stand turned out to be 100% right so whatever it is, it was smart and correct.

Just because Kerry voted for the resolution, IN ADVANCE of the UN debate does not mean he was in favor of proceeding without UN approval.
