Once again, you are comparing "apples and oranges" here...

There is no immediate pain when trading on the Internet, especially if one has "deep pockets", and "blind faith" can continue for some length of time.
I used to think my "advisors" would steer the "home port" back on course, until finally, I held a "mutiny", and became captain and set my own course....
Relative to our income and assets at the time, our losses were similar to Olivier's, and the pain just as great IMO, but the difference was nothing illegal was going on. So I do understand the "faith" part that can lead one to financial trouble. And the fact the "neighborhood" I was in was not utopia was far from obvious at the time.
