no doubt this is different than the beginning of the run. i do believe that sideline money is far less important than hedgefund manuevers...i believe when they break, the market will have topped. i see a performance chasing scenario developing, not rug pullage.

as for the sideways movement. many would consider that consolidation healthy action in preparation for another up leg.

election time approacheth. we PPT love to get busy this time of the year -g-

If we were earlier in the cycle, I would agree with you. But more is needed than just the news. You need a lot of shorts and you need a fair amount of liquidity on the sidelines that is ready and waiting to get into the market. At most, I believe we could get an exhaustion rally out of Saddam's death.
