Cicero, in order to demonstrate to the Romans just how unsafe Rome has become hired thugs to cause as much disturbance as possible, and campaigned on a promise to end the internal strife if elected and granted extraordinary powers." So do you think the claim of a "vast right wing" conspiracy is an attempt to usher in a new era of tyranny as well? Its all a little far fetched and seems disconnected with reality.
