Tyranny can not prevail in a just constitutional system of checks and balances that positions power in the hands of the people. You said it all right there. "in a just constitutional system". I think that the battle is over that right now. We are teetering on the edge. "checks and balances" are being tested to the breaking point. "position power in the hands of the people" That is dubious at best too with the media now waging a very effective disinformation campaign against the people. Convincing many that everything must be this way. Accept the loss of certain very basic constitutional rights in exchange for security. I'm not buying it. PS and as always the media gives us a very false image of our leaders character.
