4) Identify the real problem (not the political problem) 5) Identify a real solution (not a band-aid, or something that will give the appearance of a solution). 6) Check it with the long term goal - are you really fixing the problem, or simply creating new ones? 7) Create the goals. 8) Make the implementation plan to reach the goals. 9-11) Execute! Execute! Execute! 12) Retire and collect ungodly amounts of money on book deals and speaking engagements, then play a lot of golf. Too many politicians skip to #12 immediately.
