Dear Mrs. Bush, We're so delighted you'd deign to stoop to mix with the riff-raff. This display of <noblesse oblige brings tears to our eyes. <g> As an insider, I'm wondering if you could help clear something up for us? Recently the Republican head of the House Armed Services Committee, Duncan Hunter, made a radical proposal. nytimes.com He thought that the Pentagon should buy products that were mostly made in America. So he inserted language in the latest "Defense" (not its real name) budget that said that 65% of any war toys should be "made in America". Currently the standard is 50% domestic content. Well, Field Marshall Rumsfeld and your hubby apparently went ballistic (no pun intended), and went off on Hunter for his obvious lack of patriotism, er, loyalty to fat cat CEOs. Can you tell George that we love him when he is so stoopid? Once honest Republicans find out that only chumps like them are supposed to pay taxes and the CEOs are supposed to be running off-shore tax havens, then they'll come to their senses, won't they? I know your time is precious, but I'm here to encourage you to do everything in your power to make sure that that wonderful hubby of yours keeps his silver foot in mouth and his hand in every honest Republican's wallet. :) Hubba Bubba!
