Laz, that hurt -g-

"Political reasons"? Of course not. Where the markets are concerned I have no heart. Thoroughly educated thus in American schools from the age of 12 until 23 :-)

We have made a pile of money shorting American tech stocks selling calls throughout 2002, then buying and holding a few (like ERTS) in 2003. We have been heavily trading currencies since the beginning of 2003 - I feel there is more money to be made there for now than US equities. Looking into more exotic options over the past six months...

Actually, the most money we made in 2003 was with Turkish t-bills (23% in USD terms in 3 months) and a USD/TRL forward that just matured (44% in USD terms in six months).

As the discrepancy between perception and economic reality deepens in US markets, it gets riskier.

Oh and I will be out on a rather long vacation soon and would rather not hold options on US tech stocks :-)
