What democracy? We now live under a full flung corporate oligarchy in this country. They've (wealthy corporate elites) always lurked in the shadows, but now they are front and center and run our government from top to bottom. I mean, look at the laws that have come out of DC these days, totally slanted towards corporate needs and away from what is good for the average American.

The CIA director Colby said in front of the Church Committee in 1975 that the CIA controlled the media with 400 highly-placed editors, journalists "assets".

Do you have any links to Colby's testimony? And Colby died mysteriously before he could finish his book. I wonder where the manuscript is now? In the secret depths of the CIA? I hope he spent the book advance.
