Elroy, what matters is revenue AND units sold, especially if we are interested in comparing overall demand in a particular market. If you look at estimated total subscribers for the world cell phone market, the growth rate doesn't look much different from the growth rate for unit sales of printers/scanners. If you look at growth in unit sales of cell phones for CDMA, the growth rate is much faster, especially because of the rapid growth in China and India. That's all the more reason to regard QUALCOMM as a stock that should sell at a premium to other cell phone equipment manufacturers, and especially to those whose major business is focused on GSM (e.g., Nokia, Texas Instruments).
