The events of the summer have rightfully brought the Lakers to unimaginable levels of "The most hated team" on the planet! Karl Malone has always been a talented bruiser who choked in the big games (remember his disappearances in the Finals against the Bulls?). And is the master of cheap shot with one of the most brutal fouls ever committed in the NBA history, the 14 stiches Isiah Thomas had to have in a game in Utah eons ago. Then, to top it all off, you also get Payton, the biggest trash talker in the NBA History! Then,of course, you get Kobe, the Mr. Clean poster boy, accused of assault and admitting adultery holding his wife's hand and fighting back tears...Gosh, it was so emotional I had to pour myself a glass of wine:-) I see four stars (two in their final legs) who hopefully will hawk the ball and end up fighting between themselves and, God please listen, not make the playoffs or come out crashing in the first or second round by, God willing, the Kings or, if not them, the Spurs! Regardless, Zensheister Jackson has finally a coaching job ahead of him dealing with more than two stars...I just can see the eye Malone will give him when he takes him out and his expression when Payton goes in the paint with Bryant all alone (if he is not in jail). Of course, all the above has been in good fun....can't wait for the season to start, I am tired of this boring golf/baseball stuff on TV nowadays. See ya
