Chuck,
Be careful what you wish for. You paint a picture of US going it alone as a matter of policy. I support going it alone when other wont help and our national interest is at stake. I would be careful in applying for the globocop role however. It really doesnt suit us. And there is no national consensus for it. It would be better if we could convince more nations that we are right and involve them in the job. Mike

"Bush Jr however thanks to the Republican Party has been able to install several great men and women into key positions of World importance and now we are embarked once again on a policy of returning America to its former stature and standing in the World, that of a Powerful, Rightous, Leader....a true SuperPower."

No, to be a true leader you need to be respected. You refer merely to power, and in this regard you equate using power with being powerful. But in the real world, the use of power creates weakness -- and we have a group of people in Washington weakening the United States of America day after day.
